Vickie Lacy Rodgers, 67 passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center surrounded by loved ones. The widow of Ronald (Goose) Rodgers, Vickie was born April 9, 1958 to the late Roylin Lacy. Vickie was an employee at Frankfort Regional Hospital for 40 years, where she was everyone’s family. She never passed by anyone without smiling and saying Hi. She was a mentor, teacher and supporter for many of the employees especially the younger ones that were starting their careers in the lab.

 

Vickie is survived by her mother and stepfather, Wanda (Mayes) Karsner and Rev. Bob Karsner; children, Amy (Jimmy) Renfroe, Mandi (Jonathan) Hockensmith, and David (Sarah) Newnam; her sisters, Linda Cummins, Sandra (Tommy) Karsner, Wanda (Glen) Dean, Debbie (Dave) Taylor, Brenda Moore, and Sue Mayes; her 14 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

 

Vickie also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and coworkers who all mourn her passing.

 

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Ronald Rodgers; her dad, Roylin Lacy; her brother, Roylin Lacy; and her son, James Keith.

 

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the Frankfort Regional Medical Center nurses, doctors, and hospice team for their compassionate care and support.

 

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd with Bro. Jay Stratton officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Renfroe, Jonathan Hockensmith, Nick Richardson, Zack Richardson, Austin Keith, Matt Karsner, and Brandon Mayes. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.
