Memorial

Mary (“Frankie”) Hoffeld, 91 of Lexington, KY was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 13, 2025. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt to her family and will be deeply missed.

Frankie was born on April 14, 1934, to Marion (deceased) and Ruth (deceased) Crowe in Williamstown, KY. She graduated from Georgetown College and was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. Frankie worked as a teacher at Bryan Station Junior High School and as an Analyst for Lockheed Martin at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. She was a member of Okeechobee First Presbyterian in Okeechobee, FL and First Presbyterian in Lawrenceburg, KY. Frankie enjoyed travelling, playing cards, the water, spending time with family and friends, and especially cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats.

Affectionately, known as a “Second Mom” to her family and friends, Frankie was always checking up on all of them until the end. She was also a devoted animal lover and spent much of her life dedicated to caring for animals. Animals always found their way to Frankie because they knew she was ready to offer a helping hand or extra love to any creature in need.

Frankie is survived by her stepchildren, Sherry Hoffeld and Walter Hoffeld (deceased); Christopher Nosworthy Jr., and Pieter Nosworthy; grandchildren Shanna Harrod-Finn, Alex Nosworthy, and Lillian Nosworthy; great grandchildren, Lyric Finn and Sydney Harrod; many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Jerome Hoffeld and Christopher Nosworthy Sr.; her sisters Betty Jane Harman and Billie Sue Lucas, and many other extended family members.

A gathering of family and friends will be 10:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing, with a celebration of life service at 12:00 P.M. A private burial will take place at Lawrenceburg Cemetery following services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Woodford Humane Society, Bluegrass Care Navigators (HOSPICE), or a charity of your choice.
