Lorella Haakenson
August 22nd, 1932 - May 26th, 2025
Born in Ashland, Idaho, Lorella’s life journey took her through Dayton and Montesano before settling in Renton, Washington. She graduated from Renton High School in 1950 and later married the love of her life, Robert, on June 12, 1954.
From 1967 to 1981, Lorella drove a school bus for the Renton School District, safely delivering generations of students and earning the respect of her community.
Lorella had a passion for handiwork and home. She found joy in sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking, and tending to her garden. Above all, her heart belonged to her family. A longtime member of Renton United Methodist Church, she lived her life with quiet faith and grace.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Don) and Judy; her two granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on June 28th 11am at Renton United Methodist Church.
