Frances Kay Sweeney, age 88 of Church Hill, entered into eternal life on Saturday, June 14, 2025. Frances was born on March 6, 1937, in Darwin, VA to Fred and Jewell Rose. On March 28, 1953, Frances married the love of her life, David Sweeney, and after 60 years of a beautiful marriage and life together, he preceded her in death in December of 2013.
Frances was an avid reader, and she loved cooking. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, David Sweeney; one great-grandson, Thomas; and two sisters, Billie Artrip, and Sandra Hughes. Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Dava Sweeney, and Lesa Foster (Albert); three grandchildren, Kris Harrison (Louise), Jeremy Foster, and Raechel Foster; three great-grandchildren, Nio, Emily, and Caylee; and many other loving family members.
Per Frances’ request there will be no formal services.
