Brenda K. Woo

Brenda was born and raised in Puyallup, attended Rogers High School and Pierce College. She loved her family, Dad Edwin and Mom Marjorie as well as her two brothers Eddie and Jim. Brenda always loved animals and brought home strays as a young girl. After college, she was always brainstorming new business ideas including a humorous card business. She also helped manage brother Jim’s rental property in Puyallup. Friends marveled at her strong personality and sense of humor.

She and husband Ken married in 1989 and raised two beautiful children, daughter Jillian and son Cameron. Ken always said Brenda was the smarter and funnier of the two. She and Ken traveled extensively because of Ken’s job as a technology executive. Their favorite places were Hawaii, Asia, Canada and Europe. Brenda loved being a stay-at-home Mom, keeping and maintaining a loving and welcoming place for family. She was also a prolific writer and was planning a book before her health took a bad turn. Her favorite past time was Major League Baseball and during the spring, summer and fall, Seattle Mariners baseball could be heard throughout the Woo household, and she joyously celebrated when the Mariners began their winning seasons in 1991 and 1993. There was love for one another, for family and for God.

Ken and Brenda are both long-time members of Bethany Baptist Church in Puyallup.

Brenda is survived by Mom, Margie, brothers Eddie and Jim, Daughter Jillian, Son Cameron and husband Ken.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either Bethany Baptist Church in Puyallup or the Pacific Harbors Council of Scouting America of which son Cameron is proudly an Eagle Scout.

Starting in a two-story building on North Meridian, where he lived with his wife Mabel and their son Vernon, Ernest Hill introduced the first motor-powered funeral coaches in Pierce County, transitioning from traditional horse-drawn services....
