Shawna Marie Arter / Kaiser born May 8th, 1982, at Landstuhl Army Regional Medical Center, West Germany.  

She was a caring and loving mother to her two boys, Branden and Deven Kaiser. She was married to Thomas Kaiser, an Albuquerque resident.

Shawna and Tommy met while they were both attending Valley High School in Albuquerque. She is survived by her husband Tommy, sons Branden and Deven, her mother and stepdad, Lori and Danny Gutierrez (all from Albuquerque), her father and stepmother, Jeffrey Arter and Angela (Aprile) Arter (residing in Italy).  Also surviving are half-brothers David Gutierrez Alexander, Alex Arter and half-sister Gloria Arter. Shawna had been struggling with pancreas and liver issues for some time and had undergone several surgeries. Ever the fighter, she lost her final struggle and passed away in her sleep on the morning of May 24th, 2025.Shawna loved being a mother to her two boys and taking care of the home. She really enjoyed the outdoors, going camping in the mountains nearby. Shawna was a loving and kind person to animals, especially to her beloved dogs. She will be missed by many.
