Robert "Brad" Bradley Strawn
August 15th, 1941 - March 8th, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of R. Bradley Strawn, who peacefully passed away at home on Saturday, March 8th. Brad was a very important person to many people who had the privilege of knowing him.
Brad was a Boise High graduate and attended both the University of Idaho and Idaho State University, graduating from ISU with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He served as a Signal Corps Officer in the U.S. Army in Monmouth, NJ after which he returned to Boise fora Management trainee position with the Idaho First National Bank Data Center. He was quickly promoted to Manager of the Coeur D’Alene Data Center and a few years later returned to Boise as Manager of the Boise Data Center. Later, he joined the family business, Strawn’s Office Furniture & Interiors until he closed up shop in the 2000’s.
Brad grew up passionate about the outdoors and found immense joy in hunting, fishing, and camping. His lifelong love for fishing was a defining part of his life. He was an active member of the Fly Fishers of Idaho club and tied flies as long as anyone can remember.
Brad married his wife, Katherine, in 1980. Brad and Kathy had been married for 44 years when he passed. Brad was very involved in his children and grandchildrens’ lives. He enjoyed staying updated on the lives of his thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild and treasured the time he could spend with them. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L and Gretchen. And survived by: his wife Katherine, his sister Judy West, her husband Gordon, their children Eric and Missy. His daughters: Jana Rodebeck, her husband Brian, their children: Seth, Elsie, Jordan, Hadley, Piper, Peyton; his great granddaughter June. Meredith Sudborough, her husband Adlai, their children Waverly and Tristan Kathy’s children: David Anjelkovich, his wife Cris and daughter Eleanor, Molly Vineyard, her fiancee Michael Buckles and his son Brandon, Molly’s children: Alex, Emma, Mia, Liam.
A memorial service will be held on Friday June 27th, 1:45pm at the Idaho Veterans Cemetery10100 N Horseshoe Bend Rd, Boise, ID 83714 and followed by a Celebration of Life at Boise Brewing 521 W Broad St, Boise, ID 82702 at 5pm.Brad was a patient, understanding, devoted husband, father, and friend who will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
