Georgianna A. Furfaro, 86, of Turnersville, NJ passed away on the morning of June 19, 2025 at the Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Washington Township.
Georgianna was born in Springfield, MA, and raised in Garfield, NJ. She held many career roles in her life, from a waitressing at local establishments, always delivering service with a smile to her devoted patrons, to assisting customers at NJ DMV’s information desk. Georgi, as she was affectionately known, worked at the Wallington Lanes Luncheonette for many years. It was there she found her love for bowling.
Georgi was full of life. She excelled in making others feel seen, heard, laugh and smile. Her funny personality made it easy for Georgi to make friends. Bowling and BINGO were among her favorite activities. She was the best mother to her daughter and grandmother to her granddaughters. The memories created with family will remain unforgettable.
Georgianna is predeceased by her parents, Angelo and Margaret (Grasso) Furfaro; her siblings, Donald, Annette and Anthony and twin brother, George.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Stacy Welch; cherished granddaughters, Jaclyn Leeb (Caleb) and Erin Welch; and feline companions Blacky, Willow and Nyla. Georgi is also survived by her nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Funeral Services were held privately for her immediate family.
