Billy M. Gray, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 17, 2025, in Macon, Georgia, at the age of 61. A graveside service will be held at Parkway Memorial Gardens on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM for all who wish to pay their respects. Casual attire. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of your choice, honoring Billy's generous nature.
Born on April 3, 1964, in Bakersfield, California, Billy lived a life rich in love, laughter, and kindness. Billy was never one to meet a stranger; his golden heart and generous spirit made him a pillar of the community. He was a dedicated recovery agent whose work was a testament to his loyalty and compassion. In his spare time, Billy loved drag racing and hot rods, always ready to share his passion for adventure with those around him. His famous words, “The best there is, was and ever will be,” reflect his unwavering confidence and zest for life. An avid Alabama Football fan, he could be found yelling " Roll Tide Roll" or a few choice words at the tv during the games.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Janda G. Gray, and his children: January Sweat, Jimmy Gray, Zachary Hudson, Christopher Nichols, and Tommy Allen. Billy's legacy lives on through his grandchildren—Camden Gray, Ciara Sweat, Maci Sweat, Brittany Allen, Kayla Meredith, and Destiny Meredith—and several great-grandchildren whom he cherished dearly. He is also survived by his siblings, Cindy Arrington, Charlotte Thomas, Jim Gray, and Thomas Livingston, who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Mary M. Gray, and his son, Seth Hudson, who welcomed him with open arms.
Though he may be gone from our sight, Billy M. Gray’s light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be missed immensely but will forever be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and love of life.
