Diane Smith Jebram, age 82, passed away peacefully in Matthews, North Carolina on June 14, 2025.

Diane, devoted wife, sister, aunt, beloved mother and grandmother, was born on February 10, 1943 in Waynesville, Missouri where her father was stationed before going off to war in Europe. Her Army family eventually moved to northern Virginia where she lived most of her life. Once she became a grandmother, she moved to the Charlotte, NC area.

She worked at Atlantic Research Corporation in accounting where she met her husband of 59 years, William Jebram. They raised two children, David and Ann Jebram. She was a doting stay at home mother for 12 years. She returned to work at ARC, then later as an Accounting Office Clerk at The AES Corporation. This employment allowed many work related travel adventures with her husband to Argentina, Ireland, Hawaii to name a few.

Diane had a passion for dancing spending over 30 years attending Jazzercise classes. She was an amazing baker and loved making many birthdays and other occasions special with her cakes and cookies. She loved watching all sports - tennis, football, soccer, basketball, and baseball. As a lifelong fan of the Washington Redskins (Commanders), she was always happy talking about the team and missed very few games. Her advice to all coaches, “take the points!” when the opportunity is given.

In her retirement, she volunteered at Assistance League of Charlotte (Lift Up Carolinas), Classroom Central, and Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina by bringing supplies, clothing and food to students across Charlotte as well as her daughter’s students.

She was known for her smile, kindness and devotion to her loved ones. Her kindhearted spirit lives on in the legacy of her children and grandchildren.

Diane is loved and greatly missed by her devoted husband, William; her son, David (June) Jebram of Matthews, NC, her daughter, Ann Jebram of Fort Mill, SC; her brother, Earl Smith, Jr.  (Carrie) of Wylie, TX, her sister, Marsha DiVenere (late husband Peter) of South Riding, VA. and by her beloved granddaughters, Lillian and Eve Jebram. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Smith, her father, Earl Smith, Sr. and nephews Jeff Smith and Michael DiVenere.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any of the above mentioned charities where she volunteered.

A memorial service is planned for Friday, July 25, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Sardis Presbyterian Church. Pastel colored clothing encouraged in honor of Diane.
