Harold Eugene Fown
January 22nd, 1944 - June 12th, 2025
Harold “Harry” E. Fown, 81, of Apple Valley MN, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. He was born on January 22, 1944, in Croton, Ohio. Son to the late Ona May Riley. Harold is survived by his children, Julie (Fown) Herda and Frank Fown; 4 grandchildren, Kayla, Emily, Brandon & Luke. In addition, survived by the mother of his children and companion of many years, Lilly Fown. Along with 2 brothers, Dean Riley and Ben Riley.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his brother, Leland Riley and his sister, Creta “Susie” Allen along with his grandparents Benjamin and Nina Fown, along with numerous uncles and aunts.
Harold will be buried at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with a celebration of life gathering to follow later in his home state of Ohio.
In his memory, in lieu of flowers the family asks that any donations be sent to a local homeless shelter and/or the Minneapolis VA CDCE dept (Attn: Hospice).
