Douglas Lewis Gray
1964 - 2025
Douglas Lewis Gray was born on February 14, 1964, in Muskegon, Michigan. Doug attended Reeths -Puffer Public schools. During High School, he was a student athlete where he was a member of the football, basketball,and baseball teams. During his senior year, Doug enrolled in a woodshop class where he made his first bar and night stand which he loved doing. Douglas also enjoyed family activities such as fishing and weekly movie nights. Douglas received Christ at an early age and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church of Muskegon Michigan.
A proud and dedicated patriot, Douglas honorably served his country in the United States Army for ten years, including a tour during the Gulf War. His service exemplified courage, discipline, and an unwavering sense of duty.
Douglas was known for his vibrant energy, infectious sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family. A devoted husband and father, he was a constant source of support, joy, and strength for those he loved. He had an undeniable presence—always ready with a joke, a helping hand, or a listening ear.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louise Gray Banks and Earl McCrary Jr., as well as siblings Earl “Camp” McCrary III, Diane McCrary and Jason McCrary.
Douglas leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience in the hearts of his cherished wife, Trina Gray, and his five children: Coriel Honoray-Stephens, Courtney Stephens, Douglas Gray, Camron Gray and Devon Gray.
He is also remembered with love by his siblings: Valerie Vines (Leonard Vines), Charles Banks, Phillip McCrary, Steven McCrary, Stacey McCrary, Camp McCrary, David McCrary, Felicia McCrary, Ephron McCrary and Alvin McCrary.
Douglas will be deeply missed by a host of extended family and friends whose lives he touched with his warmth, loyalty, and laughter.
His legacy of strength, compassion, and unwavering commitment to his loved ones will live on through all who had the honor of knowing him.
