Amy Louise Longville
January 18th, 1961 - June 18th, 2025
Amy Louise Longville, 64, of Merritt Island, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2025. Born on January 18, 1961, in Stow, Ohio, Amy lived a life full of compassion, resilience, and joy.
A proud graduate of The Ohio State University, Amy was a lifelong Buckeye fan who never missed a chance to cheer on her team. She was a devoted Catholic whose faith guided her through life’s many challenges and triumphs.
Amy dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse, but her greatest joy came from raising her two sons, Kyle and Jamie, alongside her beloved husband, Leo. Her nurturing spirit, warm hugs, and ever-present smile left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Amy’s love for her family was boundless—she treasured every phone call, every visit, and every sweet moment shared with her children and grandchildren.
She embraced life in Florida, especially the sunshine and warmth it brought. Amy had a sweet tooth for candies and milkshakes, a passion for shopping and finding a good deal, and a heart full of gratitude and positivity. Even in the face of tremendous medical challenges, she showed unwavering grace and strength.
Amy is survived by her loving husband, Leo Longville; her sons, Kyle (Samantha) and Jamie (Veronica); her cherished grandchildren, Ethan, Jack, and Andrew; and her siblings, Nancy, Polly, Thom, and Tim. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Barbara Rankin; her brother, Dan Rankin; her father-in-law, Leo Longville; and her brother-in-law, John Furnas.
In accordance with her wishes, Amy is donating her body to the UCF College of Medicine. When her remains are returned, the family plans to hold the Rite of Committal and burial at the Church of Our Saviour Memorial Garden.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Merritt Island on Saturday, June 21 at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that masses be offered at your local Catholic church in memory of Amy Longville.
