Bonnie Lynn Bonfield
January 31st, 1953 - June 18th, 2025
Bonnie Lynn Antonetti Bonfield (72) died peacefully at Peppi’s House Hospice on June 18th, 2025. Bonnie was born January 31st 1953, to Edna Arlone Jennings and Daniel Antonetti in Moravia, New York. She grew up in Tucson, California, Japan, and Korea. She married Harry Keely Bonfield Jr. on May 6th, 1975, in the Mesa Arizona temple. They lived in Washington D.C., and Tehran, Iran. This is when Bonnie began her in-home daycare where she took children as young as 2 weeks and always charged below market value for her services. After Iran they moved to Stuttgart, Germany, where their son Robert was born. Bonnie and family returned to the United States in 1988, where they lived in both New Jersey and Washington D.C. (again). After nearly 20 years of service, Bonnie returned to live in Tucson in 1990. Around this time, Bonnie began homeschooling her son in addition to her full time job. Bonnie retired from her daycare business in 2010 to serve a mission with her husband, Harry for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Fort Huachuca, Sierra Vista. She very much enjoyed serving the next generation of military families. After her mission, Bonnie spent many years as a temple worker, first in Mesa, then at the Tucson, Arizona temple after it was built. Ever since 2019, Bonnie has been a caregiver for her grandchildren, as well as in home support for her family. Bonnie is preceded in death by her beloved husband Harry, as well as her sister April and her brother David. She is survived by her son Robert (Jana), her three grandchildren Erik, Leo, and Sheri, as well as her brothers Karl and Justin (Summer) as well as sisters Lorna (Robin), and Becky (David). A funeral service will be held in her honor on July 5th, 2025 at 10 at the East Stake Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (6901 E Kenyon DR.) Graveside service to follow.
