Charles William Wright was born Nov 15,1942 to Thelma Lorene Wright and Lawrence William Wright in Omaha, Nebraska. The family later moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he lived until he joined the United States Air Force in March of 1961 He served in many countries, including Morocco, Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, and Spain, as well as many bases in the US.
He met and married his wife Barbara Jean Boycan from Hyattsville, Maryland in 1968 while stationed at Castle AFB in Merced CA. They had two daughters, Charlotte (Steve), and Jennifer (Jason). They were gifted with six grandchildren and six great grandchildren and one who passed at three years of age.
Charlie served in the Air Force for 30 years, achieving the rank of Chief Master Sgt. He retired from the Air Force in 1991 and went to work at the Boise Airport from 1992 to 2006.
Charlie enjoyed many activities and hobbies inc. achieving his pilot's license, learning to ski at the age of 65, hitting the slopes at Brundage while waiting for Barb to retire from the Library. He was really artistic and enjoyed wood carving, especially ducks, canes and walking sticks. But the love of his life besides his family was his Harley.
Charlie was well liked by friends and neighbors alike and was always willing to help out if someone needed assistance.
He was well loved and will be missed!!!
