Tracy Lynn Young, age 53 of Gate City, VA, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. Tracy was born on February 26, 1972, in Morristown, TN to Earl Young and Phyllis Foster. Tracy was the owner / operator of ConTech Services based out of Gate City, VA. On October 5, 1997, Tracy married his best friend and love of his life, Becky Russell, and after 27 years of a beautiful life together, she survives.
Tracy loved UT Football and spending time with his grandchildren. He was known as the “jokester” of his family, and he had the gift of placing smiles on people’s faces and he never met a stranger. To know Tracy was to love him, and you knew that you had a friend for life.
Tracy was preceded in death by his father, Earl Young; stepfather, Carroll Foster; maternal grandparents, Luther H. and Ruby Bell; mother-in-law, Mattie Jane Russell; and brother-in-law, Richard Russell. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Becky Young; mother, Phyllis Foster; Daughter, Stephanie and husband, Cavin; son, Clinton Day; grandchildren, Luke Falin, Hunter Falin, Lucy and Darcy Hale, and Riley and Dacey Falin; sisters, Michelle Foster and husband, Robert, and Ashley Young ; brother, Josh Young; stepmother, Deedra Solomon-Zieba; niece, Brianna Foster; best friends, Robbie Bentley, Willis Shaffer, and Ronnie and Karen Rentz; and many loving family members and friends.
