Claude Morris

Claude Morris passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025, surrounded by love and family. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend whose life was defined by kindness, selflessness, and a tireless work ethic.

Claude is survived by his loving wife, Velma Hughes Morris; his sons, Wesley Morris (Timberlyn Wojdyla-Morris) and Bradley Morris (Crystal Morris); and his sister, Rhonda Farmer. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Claude had a remarkable gift for fixing things—whether it was a broken appliance, a car in need of repair, or someone going through a tough time. He approached every task with patience and care, never hesitating to lend a helping hand. Family, friends, and neighbors could always count on Claude to show up and do whatever needed to be done, without asking for anything in return.

He believed in the value of hard work and lived his life with integrity and humility. But more than anything, Claude will be remembered for how he cared for others. He quietly and consistently put those he loved first, leading with actions rather than words.

His legacy of love, service, and strength will live on in the lives he touched and the family he cherished so deeply.

A celebration of life will be held with family and friends on June 29, 2025, from 3-5 pm at 647 Polo Rd. Columbia, SC 29223, in the community center. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Claude’s memory by offering a helping hand to someone in need—just as he so often did.
