Jose Luis Castillo “Bouncer,” age 45, passed away on May 18, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born on February 4, 1980, in Albuquerque. Jose had a vibrant spirit, outgoing, funny, and always the one to lift a room with his humor. He had a signature whistle that could catch your attention from across any distance, and those who knew him will never forget it.

He is survived by his beloved son, Jose Carlos Castillo; his father, Heriberto Castillo Sr.; his mother, Katie Dixon; his brothers, Eddie Castillo, and Francisco Castillo; and his sister, Veronica Castillo; and many nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Garcia, whom he missed deeply.

Jose will be remembered for the joy he brought into every room, his unmatched sense of humor, and the love he gave so freely to those around him.

Jose will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
