Jesus (Jesse) Becerra, 59, passed away quietly in his sleep on June 19, 2025.  He was born December 22, 1965 in Salinas, CA to Aaron G. Becerra and Hermelinda Flores.  Jesse was a graduate of Alisal High School class of 1984 and previous employee of Alisal Union School District.

Jesse was a loyal superfan of the Oakland A's baseball team; he loved attending A's games and went to numerous opening day games.  He also loved attending baseball card shows and was a big baseball card collector.  Jesse was an avid model car hobbyist.  He won several model car contests.  Jesse was a big fan of 80's rock bands who enjoyed going to many concerts and having a good time with his friends.

Jesse loved driving around town in his beautiful teal green convertible 1992 Rally Sport Camaro.  He was also a lifelong dog lover; they were his cherished companions.

Jesse is survived by his loving wife, Grace A. Becerra, his sister, Esther Pelot, his brother, Aaron F. Becerra, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Jesse was known by many as a jokester and always managed to make people laugh.  Jesse joins his mother and father in Heaven.  Rest in Peace and know that you were loved.

Healey Mortuary

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
