Larry Wayne Parnell

Larry Wayne Parnell, age 73 passed away in Olympia WA on June 23 2025.

Born September 28, 1951, in Lufkin, TX to J.B. and Margie Parnell. He graduated in 1970 from Wells High School in Wells, TX.

Larry was employed in the Construction field and later as a Commercial Truck Driver until retirement. 

On Feb. 28,1998 he married the love of his life, Wendy, in Tumwater, WA.

Larry was raised in the Wells, TX. area later living in many states due to the construction field.

Activities enjoyed were fishing, camping, woodworking exercising the "gift of gab" and spending time with the grandchildren.

There is a belief that if young children and animals were drawn to you it was a good quality. All young children and animals loved Larry.

Survivors include wife Wendy Parnell, Mother Margie Parnell, Lufkin Tx. Children, Eric Parnell, Wichita Falls TX, James (Jessica) Parnell, Pollok, TX and step- son Ezell (Karen) Willis Jr. Brother Lee (Teri) Parnell of Hot Springs, Ark., Sister-In-Law Mary R. Parnell, Lufkin, TX. Brother-in-law Bruce (Sharon) Wallace of Escanaba, Mi.

Grandchildren-Savannah Butler, Dallas Guerrero, Andrew Cavazos, Kameron & Noah Parnell, Taylor Klenk, Kaleb Parnell, Zoie R., Taylor M., Malakai & Maya Willis and Five Great-Grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his Father J.B. Parnell, Daughter Rebecca Parnell Thompson, brother David C. Parnell. In-laws Wilfred & Joy Wallace.

Visitation/Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Funeral

Alternatives of Tumwater, 455 North ST SE, Tumwater, WA. Starting at 1:30 PM.

The burial will be held at Masonic Cemetery next door.

Light refreshments to be served following.
