Douglas Wayne Hochmuth
May 5th, 1970 - June 21st, 2025
Douglas Wayne Hochmuth, born May 5, 1970, in Chicago, IL, to Pamela and Alfred Hochmuth, passed away on June 21, 2025, after battling cancer for four months.
Doug—‘Big Doug,’ ‘Hoc,’ ‘Bucky’—was a devoted husband, loving father, loyal friend, and a man who brought warmth and wit to everyone he met. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Laurie; his daughter, Amanda; his son, Jeremy; daughter-in-law, Brooke; his sister, Ann; niece, Riley; and his beloved and loyal Heeler, Rosco, along with many other cherished family members and friends.
Doug was known for his sharp sense of humor, kind heart, and deep love for cars, sports, and his family.
Doug’s legacy lives on through the love of his family and the countless memories of skiing Pikes Peak, traveling for baseball tournaments, off-roading, camping, and enjoying the Colorado mountains.
A memorial will be held in Doug’s honor at Monument Hill Church (18725 Monument Hill Rd, 80132) on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
