Ali Akbar Golji  Ali was 91 Years old.  He passed away on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 15, 2025, in Ave Maria, Florida at home with loved ones by his side    Ali is survived by his life partner of over 21 years, Helen Kelley, her children Chris Gibbs, Bobbi Colyer, Stephanie Nistor, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his children Kimberly Goldcamp and Jeffrey Golji, his brother Mohammad Golji, his sister-in-law, Violet Golji, and many nephews, nieces, and extended family.  He was also survived by his dog Lilly, one of the great loves of his life and his constant companion.    Ali was preceded in death by his father Hassan Jabbarie, mother, Zahra Mackari, Brother, Hossein Golji, an infant sister, and nephew, Massoud Golji.    Ali was born in Tehran, Iran and was involved in many sports including soccer, cross country running, swimming, diving, and basketball.  Soccer was the sport he excelled at and loved most.  He played as a goalkeeper and played on the national team with his high school teammates.      At the age of 21, Ali came to the United States to be with his brother in Michigan and attend college at Wayne State University where he obtained his Bachelor's of Science Degree he went on to earn a Master's Degree from the Marshall University, in Huntington West Virginia.      Ali’s career spanned many years and included: laboratory technician at several hospitals; he developed and taught the nursing program at Holzer Hospital; taught the sciences for the nursing programs at Rio Grand College, and Shawnee State University; founded Valley Diagnostic Laboratory (clinical laboratory); engaged in other entrepreneur opportunities; and co-founded Creative Management (community management company).    Outside of his professional life, Ali enjoyed dancing, dining out, watching soccer games, walking, and attending family gatherings for holidays and special occasions.  At 90 years old, he discovered his love of painting.      For several years, Ali battled dementia.  Though the disease continued to progress, Ali was a loving, compassionate, humorous, mischievous, brave, tenacious, and adventurous individual. He had a vibrant personality that touched the lives of those around him.      In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Ali’s name to the Dementia Society of America at www.DementiaSociety.org/donate.
