Susan Michele McMaster CookNovember 17, 1958 – June 25, 2025
With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of Susan Michele McMaster Cook on June 25, 2025, at the age of 66.
Susan was a woman of extraordinary warmth, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Born on November 17, 1958, she lived a life centered on kindness, family, and grace. Her gentle presence, thoughtful spirit, and deep compassion touched everyone who had the blessing of knowing her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Robert Cook Jr. She was a devoted mother to Michele Cook (Brent Montagna) and Bryan Cook, and a proud stepmother to Joshua Cook (Megan) and James Cook (Heather Knight). Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Olivia, Jacob, Ella, Sophie, Alexis, Michael, Caleb, and Carson—each of whom brought joy to her life and will carry her love with them always.
Susan is also survived by her beloved siblings: Jim McMaster (Sukie), Barry Goode (Anita), Michael Goode (April), and Cathy Goode, along with many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Linda Flowers, who no doubt welcomed her with open arms.
To know Susan was to experience a quiet kind of light. She offered steady support, unconditional love, and the kind of wisdom that left a lasting impression. Her family was her heart, and she filled their lives with warmth, humor, and care.
A celebration of Susan’s life will be held on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, at Simplicity Funeral Home, 281 Treeland Drive, Suite C, Ladson, SC 29456. The viewing will begin at 10:00 AM, with services at 11:00 AM, followed by burial at Dorchester Memorial Gardens.
If you would like to send flowers, please have them delivered to Simplicity Funeral Home by Tuesday, July 2nd, before 5:00 PM. For any other heartfelt gestures or to share your condolences, please feel free to reach out to Michele or Bryan.
Though she is no longer physically with us, Susan’s love and spirit will remain alive in the hearts of all who knew her. Her life was a gift, and her memory will be treasured forever.
