In Loving Memory

Kimberly Dea Chupp, age 63, passed away in her home on Saturday morning, June 21, 2025 in Glendale, AZ. She was born February 22, 1962 to Samuel and Patricia (Schrock) Chupp in South Bend, Indiana. The family moved to Phoenix, Arizona when Kim was an infant, and is where she planted her roots.   Kim’s pride and joy were her two daughters, Katrina and Natasha. Being their mother was everything to her, and she was equally their everything. She was fun, nurturing, and deeply in tune with her daughters throughout their childhoods and as adults. Her warm energy was always a safety net to their friends.   As a single parent, with remarkable persistence and determination, she completed her studies and earned a Master’s Degree in education from Arizona State University. She taught language arts to both 7th and 8th grade students for 20 years for the Cartwright School District. Her dedication to her students was an extension of the love & care she had for the next generation. That compassion did not only stop there, as she was a foster parent for 20 children over the course of 8 years. She was the kind of person who always put others before herself, showing a deep kindness and selflessness in all that she did   In recent years, she taught herself about gardening and began a garden club at her school so the students could learn how to grow and harvest nutritious food.  She rose early to tend the garden before class, and spent time in the hot summer months even when school was out.   Kim is survived by her two daughters, Katrina Price (39) with her fiancé, Wilton Holmes; Natasha Chupp (30) with her fiancée, Adreonna Holliman; three siblings: Kryss of Chicago, IL; Ron (Lois Meyer) of Goshen, IN; their children Matthias (Keeley Higley) and Shay; Randy (Beth Montgomery) of Phoenix, AZ their daughter Jacque Montgomery; scores of loving aunts, uncles and cousins.     She is preceded in death by both of her parents, and her niece Korissa.   Kim was the definition of a loyal friend, showing up for people through thick and thin, up and down, in and out. She was a very spiritual person who believed deeply in the power of love and prayer to make the world a better place.  She will be deeply missed by all whose lives were touched by her light.
