Johnny N. Hearn
January 31st, 1938 - June 29th, 2025
Johnny N. Hearn, 87, of Frankfort, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at home on June 29, 2025, with his family by his side. He was born in Frankfort on January 31, 1938, to the late James and Francis Simpson Hearn.
Johnny proudly served in the United States Navy for 22 years, traveling the world in service to his country. After retiring from the Navy, he worked for the Texas City Post Office and later with the Kentucky Department of Transportation until his retirement in 2005.
Upon his return to Kentucky, on October 28, 2003, Johnny married the love of his life, Marianne Burge Hearn, who survives him. He is also survived by his children, Angela Zavala (Sergio), John N. Hearn Jr. (Tina), Tabetha Rutledge, and Leanne King (Martin); and grandchildren, Zackary (Ashley), Christopher (Jenna), Noah (Rosie), Dominick, John C. Hearn (GiGi), Erin Walker (Steven), and Noah King.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Jimmy Hearn, Billy Hearn, Leona Owens, Hobart Hearn, and Spicie Belle Watts.
Johnny will be remembered as a proud veteran, devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a man of strength, humor, and service.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 2, 2025, at the VFW Post 4075 in Frankfort from 12 PM to 3 PM.
