Cheryl Anne Dinderman (Davis)
March 30, 1944 – January 14, 2025
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered
Devoted wife, loving mom, grandma, great grandma (Gigi) and friend was 80 years when she peacefully passed away the evening of January 14, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born in Bertha, MN, her family settled in Roseville where she grew up and graduated. She met the love of her life, Terry through her brother Ron’s friendship in the Navy. It was love at first sight, on the second date he proposed, they wed in six months on October 12, 1963 and spent 61 wonderful years in marriage. Together they built a home and family in North St. Paul. Cheryl always believed the key to happiness was always touching lives, sharing love, happiness and joy through Faith, Family, Friends and Community; and that she did. She proudly worked at Lillie Newspaper, volunteered in schools, Girl Scouts, sports, charities. She loved singing, travelling, camping, crafts, daytrips and was always up for any adventure as long as it was together. She will be remembered for being kind to all, having a gentle touch and soft place to land. She never judged and always had an open door for everyone; a table full to feed your soul, belly, chat, drink tea or support. She made random phone calls/texts just to say “Love you muches”. Her smile lit up a room, her laugh contagious and everyone knew her voice. Her cookies/treats or decorated cakes were delicious making any celebration big or small amazing! And dare we say decorations, no one could make a holiday, goose, earrings or home look more festive-she truly brought JOY to life! Cheryl’s greatest love was her family, there was never a minute of a day when they didn’t feel her love or how proud she was of them. She is survived by her devoted husband, Terry. Her beautiful children, Christopher Dinderman, Janine (Don) Petros, Michael (Tina Kao) Dinderman. She was the world’s best grandma, always going to the ends of the earth and wanting just one more kiss or hug before you’d leave. Her adoring grandchildren Kyra (Michael) Ames, Davis (Christina Liu), Jensen (Eileen Nitz), Sophie and Riley Dinderman-Kao. Lastly, her happy Gigi fan club, lights of her life and little ones, great grandchildren Bentley, Bauer and Bodie Ames, proud granddoggie grandma to Miley and Bucky. Cheryl is also survived by brother-in-laws Edwin (Linda) Dinderman, David (Sandy) DeChaney, sister-in-law Nancy Brovold as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, countless other family, friends and neighbors who became family to her during her lifetime. She was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Audrey and Percy Davis, Bernadine and James Dinderman, brother and nephew, Ronald and Benjamin Davis, grandson Gabriel Petros, grandparents Emma and Willie Davis, Katherine and Rueben Rounds and several other family and friends. Even though the last we spoke with her was on New Years Eve, she wished everyone a happy new year and said “the new year brings new possibilities and dreams, we
don’t know what it will bring” it’s fitting this year she would be celebrating in heaven, watching over us and celebrating in her new heavenly home, joyful, pain free and reunited with loved ones. She will be deeply missed, her legacy, light and love will always shine on in all who love her, please keep sharing her stories and memories. A Celebration of Life and Christian Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 11am, Visitation will be hour prior from 10am-11am, Church of St. Peter’s 2600 Margaret Street N., North St. Paul, MN. Private family internment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. God has you in His arms, so I have you in my heart.
