Arlyce Lillian Lewis, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend, passed away peacefully at home with her family and dogs by her side on June 28, 2025, in Payette, Idaho, at the age of 73.

Born on November 21, 1951, in Ojai, California, Arlyce was the cherished daughter of Eleanor Dolores Solee and Norris Jerome Arnegard. She lived a life filled with laughter, love, and a fierce devotion to her family and community.

Arlyce was married to Gary Lewis, her loving husband and best friend. Together, they raised two children, Dustin and Journey, who were the center of her world: her pride and joy.

She spent over 14 years caring for and nurturing children as a childcare provider, touching the lives of countless families with her patience, warmth, wisdom, and joyful heart. Her impact extended far beyond her daycare; she was a steady and loving presence to all who knew her.

Arlyce was known for her one-of-a-kind personality. She was known for her quick wit, goofy sense of humor, and her signature sass. She was full of both grit and grace and was always (always) right. She loved deeply and lived unapologetically. She had a deep love for her kids, her loyal schnauzers, strong coffee with six shots, and jalapeño cheddar Cheetos (of course) — all enjoyed with a smile and a side of sass.

Arlyce was the best mom, leader, teacher, friend, and provider — and so much more — to so many people. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, humor, and love that will never be forgotten. Now, she is our sweet, sweet angel watching over us with that same fierce love we knew so well.
