Helen was born in Racine, Wisconsin on March 21, 1943, to Edward & Edith (Nelson) Klapproth. She is survived by her loving husband Terry Spence, daughter Deborah Spence, son Gregory Spence, and dog Theodore. Preceded in death by her parents and 2 of her 3 sisters. Known for her kindness and fun-loving attitude.
Originally from Ohio and a graduate of Madison High School. She studied at Ohio State University where she met her husband, Terry. Later in life finishing her degree at Kent State University. She was one of the founders of the Bushnell House Gallery in Mansfield. Helped in the restoration painting of the Mansfield Renaissance Theater. President of Ohio Arts & Crafts Guild. Her artwork was displayed in many shows and galleries. She taught arts and crafts to many. Volunteered for many organizations and events throughout her life, including as a Lucas Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed playing bridge, games, skiing, golf, and bowling. Helen moved to Tucson, Arizona over 30 years ago with her husband Terry. She continued her artwork while working in sales before retiring. Helen and Terry loved traveling throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, and world. The family is quietly grieving at home and cherishing her memories.Donations
