Paul Markiewicz
July 13th, 1955 - June 24th, 2025
Paul Markiewicz, a skilled craftsman and beloved brother, passed away leaving behind a life full of creativity, adventure, and kindness. He was born in Bayonne, New Jersey, to Dorothy and Alex Markiewicz, and was one of three children. In 1972, Paul moved to Florida, where he built a life rooted in hard work, friendship, and a love for the simple things.
Paul was a gifted woodworker. He built and installed beautiful cabinets and spiral staircases—projects that showcased his patience, precision, and pride in his craft. His talent extended beyond carpentry to fireworks. As a member of the Pyrotechnics Association, Paul helped organize and set up fireworks shows for the Fourth of July in St. Petersburg and Safety Harbor. Later, he led his own small crew, embracing every challenge with excitement and dedication.
He also had a passion for cooking and loved spending time outdoors, especially camping with close friends. Paul appreciated the uncomplicated joys of life—good food, nature, and the open road in his red Ford pickup truck. His carefree spirit and enthusiasm for life made him a joy to be around.
Paul is survived by his sister Kathy, who shared a close and loving bond with him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. The memories he created, and the love he gave so freely, will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
