Edward J. Gilliard, 84, of Deptford, New Jersey, passed away peacefully with family on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
Legacy
He was a loving and caring husband, Dad, Pop, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved to be around his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, westerns, and riding his Harley. He loved being Santa during the holidays. He was a proud member of the United States Army and Army National Guard.
Family
He is the beloved husband of 54 wonderful years to Patricia "Patti" Gilliard; devoted father of Shannon and Robyn (John); treasured Pop of Renel, Savannah, Tahlia, Shane, and Gavin. Dear brother of Kate (late Bill) and Nancy. Predeceased by his parents Blanche and Louis Gilliard Sr. and siblings Lou (Bernie), Dot, Al (Carol), and Mary (Bill). He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday, July 10th from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at the McGuinness Funeral Home- (Woodbury Location) 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, New Jersey 08096. Funeral Service at 12:00PM. Military Honors to follow at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery Williamstown, New Jersey.
