Edna Lucille Broxton - O'Hearn
December 8th, 1927 - July 2nd, 2025
Mrs. Edna Lucille Broxton O’Hearn, age 97, a resident of Homosassa, Florida passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Sturgill Hospice House in Brooksville. She was a resident since December of Homosassa where she moved to be close to her son and daughter in law who cared for her, moving from Auburndale where she lived since the 1950’s. Edna was Valedictorian of her graduating high school class, a homemaker and attended Auburndale Church of God. She enjoyed socializing, talking on the phone and Gator football. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 69 years – Calvin Alexander O’Hearn, Sr. in 2014; 2 sons – Calvin Eugene O’Hearn and Robert Morgan O’Hearn; 1 brother & 1 sister. Edna is survived by, son – Wendall (Carol) O’Hearn of Homosassa, Florida; daughter – Stacee Sherrouse (Frank Valaquez) of Winter Haven, Florida; 6 grandchildren – Shannon, Torie, Jason, Jonathan, Garrett & Sarrah and 6 great grandchildren – Brennan, Makenah, Calvin, Adalyn, Gunner & Bennett. Funeral services will be held 11am Tuesday, July 8t at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
