Louise Constance Deines (Stallard)
August 11th, 1925 - June 15th, 2025
Louise Constance (Stallard) Deines passed away on June 15, 2025, in Milwaukie, Oregon, at the age of 99.
Born on August 11, 1925, in Phoenix, Arizona, Louise spent her early years in San Jose, California. At the age of seven, her family relocated to Portland, Oregon, where she would later build a life rooted in family and community.
In 1948, Louise married Melvin Deines. Together they raised two children, Kay and Timothy. Louise was a devoted mother and housewife and also served as the bookkeeper for her husband’s garbage collection business.
Louise had a deep love for gardening and took special pride in her rose bushes. She was also an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed knitting, especially creating blankets. Her passion for horticulture led her to join the Wichita Garden Club. In later years, she generously gave her time as a volunteer driver for the blind. She and Melvin shared many adventures together—camping, salmon fishing, and exploring the desert.
She was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her children, Kay Deines and Timothy (Deborah) Deines; grandchildren Brian, Jeffrey, and Christopher; and great-grandchildren Luke and Layla.
Louise will be remembered with love and admiration by those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to all whose lives she touched.
A private interment service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery.
