Henry Tiffany
January 26th, 1928 - June 14th, 2025
Henry “Hank” Tiffany, a longtime New Yorker and recent resident of the NYS Veterans’ Home in Montrose, NY, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025, at the age of 97.
Henry is survived by his daughter Charlotte Stephenson of Concord, MA, her husband Jon, grandchildren Graham and Elise, and longtime companion Sara Champion of Ridgefield, CT. He is also survived by his nephews, Fred Garfield of Birmingham, AL, and Leonard Garfield of Seattle, WA, his niece Connie Krause of Seattle, WA, and his former spouse Betsy Tiffany of New York City. He was predeceased by his sister Elizabeth Garfield of Pittsburgh, PA.
Born in Syracuse, NY, to Leonard and Florence Tiffany, Henry attended Nottingham High School. He later graduated from Colgate University and Harvard Business School and had a long career on Wall Street in the sales and syndicate area. He was a member of the Society of Colonial Wars and the Sons of the American Revolution.
Henry found joy as a devoted father and grandfather. To friends and acquaintances, he was a true gentleman, always both kind and cordial.
In retirement, he was active in Recovery International, an organization that helps people with mental health and wellness using self-help cognitive behavioral therapy. In lieu of flowers, donations in Henry’s memory may be sent to Recovery International (1415 W. 22nd St., Tower Floor, Oak Brook, IL, 60523).
A private memorial service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Syracuse, NY, at a future date.
