John 3:16 “For god so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

**Obituary for Daniel C. Trujillo “Shadow”** It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Daniel C. Trujillo, formerly known as "Shadow," born on March 15, 1988, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Daniel departed from this world on July 4, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Daniel was born to Wendy Trujillo and David Chavez and was raised by his beloved grandparents, Carlos and Erlinda Hernandez, who played a pivotal role in shaping his character and values. He was a source of joy and warmth to his family, which included his siblings: Tonya Sanchez, David Chavez, Diego Apodaca, Derrick Apodaca, Tamara Trujillo, and Christopher Trujillo. He was a proud father to his son, Carlos Trujillo, and daughters, Brooklyn Jackson-Trujillo and Armani Trujillo, who were the lights of his life. Daniel maintained a close bond with his ex-wife and dear friend, Danea Trujillo, as well as his stepson, Malaki Trujillo, and Mother in law JoAnn Boydston who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. His extended family, including nieces and nephews Samara Chavez-Torres, Patrick Jr. Torres, Isaiah Torres, Mercedes Talamonte, and many aunts uncles and cousins  also felt the immense love and joy he brought into their lives. Daniel's infectious smile and vibrant personality could light up any room. Known for his loyalty, kindness, and sense of humor, he was a gentle soul who had the remarkable ability to uplift those around him. His energetic and ambitious nature fueled his love for life and adventure, while his generosity and consideration for others endeared him to many. Curious about the world, he was always eager to learn and explore new ideas, which spoke to the richness of his character. Family was at the heart of Daniel's life, and he treasured every moment spent with loved ones, especially with his grandfather, Carlos Hernandez, who was not only a father figure but also a steadfast companion. He relished the simple pleasures of life, and whether it was sharing laughter with his friends or making precious memories with his children, Daniel embraced every opportunity to create joy. Though he is no longer with us, Daniel's spirit will endure through the many lives he touched. He leaves behind not just family but an entire community that remembers him for his beautiful smile and generous heart. As we gather to honor his memory, we are reminded of the love he shared and the kindness he imparted to the world. At this time, arrangements for a memorial service are pending, and further details will be shared with family and friends. We invite you to celebrate Daniel's life and the memories that will forever remain in our hearts. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love that he so freely gave to others. His legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him.
