Flahiff Funeral Chapels & Crematory-Caldwell
Glenda Kay Hildebrandt
September 1st, 1948 - July 5th, 2025
Glenda Hildebrandt passed away July 5, 2025, in Caldwell, Idaho. She was born September 1, 1948, in Nampa, Idaho, to Dwain and Hazel Hildebrandt. She was the second of two children, growing up on a dairy farm in Middleton. She graduated from Middleton High School in 1966 and later moved to Caldwell where she lived until 1980. She worked as a bookkeeper for two local companies in Nampa until her move to Boise where she worked for a local CPA firm and returned to night school, obtaining a BBA degree from Boise State University in 1984. In 1990, she opened an accounting and tax practice and continued that business as a sole proprietor until semi-retirement in 2010. She also worked as a bookkeeper part time until full retirement in 2014.
She thoroughly enjoyed her retirement years, sitting on the patio watching birds and critters in the yard, reading a good book and socializing with friends and family. She stayed playing pickle ball, participating in African djembe drumming and traveling with friends and family. She had a great love for her canine companions and always had one or two faithful dogs to love and keep her company.
Glenda is survived by her brother, Harold (Marilyn) Hildebrandt; three nephews: Matt (Stacie) Hildebrandt, Mark (Tracy) Hildebrandt, and Troy (Tammy) Hildebrandt; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
At Glenda’s request, no formal funeral service will be held. Her ashes will be scattered at a later date. She will be set free to roam with her canine companions.
The family requests donations in her memory to any animal shelter would make her smile.
