Elizabeth Karshner
July 7th, 1954 - July 3rd, 2025
Elizabeth (“Liz”) Ann Karshner, a devoted mother and grandmother, cherished friend, and pillar of quiet strength, passed away on July 3, 2025, at the age of 70.
Born in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Liz spent her life nurturing those around her with unwavering love, resilience, and kindness. As a single mother, she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to raising her daughter, Melissa.
Liz had a gentle spirit and a generous heart. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—sharing stories over coffee and offering a listening ear to anyone in need. Similar to her parents, Liz loved connecting with others and lived by the motto that she “never met a stranger.”
She began her career as a registered nurse, where her gentle touch and calm presence brought comfort to countless patients. Later, she expanded her healing work as a licensed massage therapist and caregiver companion, offering not just physical relief but emotional support to those in need. Her work was more than a job—it was a calling, and she approached each role with deep empathy, patience, and grace.
Though she faced life’s challenges with quiet determination, her legacy lives on in the lives she touched.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her beloved parents, William and Mildred Karshner, and her two brothers, William and Jack Karshner. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Culbert, and her two cherished grandsons, Declan and Maddox, who brought immense joy and pride to her later years.
A funeral mass will be held by the family at St. Paul Catholic Church in St. Petersburg, FL on Friday, July 25th at 10:30 am.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
