Mary Josette Truitt

Mary Josette Doyle Truitt, 86, peacefully passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025. Born on January 30, 1939, in Cannelburg, Indiana, Mary was the daughter of the late John Earl Doyle and Carmella Fegan Doyle.
Mary worked many years in her family’s accounting practice and was a devoted member of St. Leo Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray Truitt, and sons, Robert Allen Truitt and John Truitt. Mary is survived by her daughter, Mary Fernandez (David Fernandez); sister, Dolores Durbin; and brothers, Ed Doyle and Delmar Doyle; and five grandchildren: Erin, Caitlin, John David, Ryn, and Daniel.
Mary will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and devotion to family.
A Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at St. Leo Catholic Church, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. A reception will follow at 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the World Wildlife Fund in Mary Jo's honor.
