Arnold Gobble

Arnold Gobble, 81, of Columbia, SC entered into rest, Friday, June 20, 2025, at Prisma Health Richland.
Born August 17, 1943, in Lexington, NC, he was the son of Robert Odell and Edith Louise Gobble.
Mr. Gobble served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from American Airlines and was an avid tennis player, who also taught lessons and played in local tournaments. He enjoyed traveling and was a captain with the Civil Air Patrol.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce (Gobble) (Schumpert) Zimmerman.
Mr. Gobble is survived by his nephews Tony (Jimmie) Schumpert and Steven (Cindy) Schumpert and niece Deborah (Adger) Brown, as well as several great nieces and nephews.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.
