In Loving Memory of Jordain Lynn Runner
September 14, 1996 - July 6, 2025
With broken hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Jordain Lynn Runner, age 28, who left us far too soon on July 6, 2025, at her home in Ontario, Oregon. Jordain was born on September 14, 1996, in Boise, Idaho, and from the very beginning, brought a vibrant light and deep love into that world that included everyone around her.
Jordain was a devoted and loving mother to her three beautiful children -- Evalynn, James, and Josiah -- who were the center of her universe. Her love for them knew no bounds, and everything she did was grounded in her deep devotion to their happiness and well-being. Though her arms no longer can hold her baby girl Esme Jun, we know her soul rejoices in their reunion.
She is survived by her father, Josh Runner (Sandra Runner), her grandparents, Carmen Runner (Matthew Pierce), Cheryl Bright, and Joe Bright; her siblings, Jace Runner and Jennah Leathers (Patrick Leathers), Jessica Timan (Ty Timmor), Alex Gilbert (Natasha Gilbert), Brenda Lake, (Austen Elliott), William Lake (Tris Lake, and her beloved children. She was preceded in death by her mother, Erin Bright, and her daughter Esume June.
A 2015 graduate of Payette High School, Jordain was known for her fierce loyalty, generous spirit and creative soul. She had a special connection to the natural world and found peace in the outdoors, whether it was through floating the river, camping or rock hunting--her collection a reflection of her deep appreciation for beauty in the unexpected.
Jordain was an artist at heart, often drawing with purpose and passion. Many of her friends wear tattoos she designed--permanent reminders of her talent and the love she poured into everything she touched. Her sketches and doodles were more than art; they were expressions of her soul.
She also cherished time spent with friends, whose lives were forever brightened by her presence. Among them, Liz Harley-Lutherland held a particularly special place in Jordain's heart.
Jordain lived and loved deeply, and while her time with us was far too short, the impact of her spirit, her warmth, and her unwavering love will be felt forever. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, creativity, and kindness.
A memorial service to celebrate Jordain's life will be announced by the family at a later date. In the meantime, may we honor her memory by holding our loved ones close and living with the same open heart she gave so freely.

For over 100 years, the Lienkaemper Funeral Chapel has served the Ontario, Oregon, community with professional, compassionate care. Our story begins in 1907 when the Peterson family, who owned a furniture store in Ontario, helped with funeral arrangements and sold caskets from the store’s basement. Over the years, the business has grown and had a number of owners, partnerships and names. Among them was our current namesake, the Lienkaemper family, who purchased the family funeral home with the mission of helping families in the Ontario community. ...
