William "Bill" Doty
March 12th, 1941 - June 30th, 2025
Our hearts still ache in sadness and secret tears still flow. What it means to lose you, no one will ever know.
**Obituary for William "Bill" Doty** *March 12, 1941 - June 30, 2025*
In the warmth of a summer's eve, on June 30, 2025, William "Bill" Doty passed on from this world, leaving behind a rich tapestry of memories woven with laughter, love, and kindness. Born in Upton, Texas, on March 12, 1941, Bill embraced life with a generous spirit that knew no bounds.
A proud Marine, Bill carried his devotion to his country deep within his heart, a testament to his loyalty and honesty. But it was in the roles of husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather where he truly shone. His family was his treasure, and each moment spent with them was one of joy—a joy he shared through his kind words and infectious laughter.
He leaves behind a loving legacy, survived by his granddaughter Marissa Meyer and her husband Eric, as well as great-grandchildren Myra and Emilio, who filled his life with boundless delight. Bill was blessed with the warmth of a close-knit family, including his dear sister Earline Brown, his mother Beth Doty, and cherished nieces and nephews. He is greeted in eternity by the embrace of his beloved wife Janet, brother-in-law James, and his late parents, Willie and 'Slim' Doty. Bill's spirit was one that believed in the beauty of karma, often saying, "What goes around, comes around." His days were filled with the joys of hunting and shooting, embarking on adventures of gold prospecting, and relishing the dance floors wherever the music played. Those left to cherish his memory will forever hold the imprint of his kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit. Bill Doty was a man dedicated to making the world a brighter place, and his laughter will echo in the hearts of those who knew him, as they recollect every shared smile and heartfelt conversation.
As the sun sets upon his adventures in Albuquerque, New Mexico, we celebrate a life well-lived—a tapestry rich with love, a reminder that true generosity of spirit is the greatest gift we can offer one another. May his journey ahead be as rich and joyful as that which he shared with us here on Earth.
