JoAnna K. Henning

JoAnna K. Henning, 82, of Nampa, ID, passed away on July 1, 2025. JoAnna was born on April 14, 1943, in San Diego, CA. She was raised in Pacific Beach where she graduated from Pacific Beach High School and a local beauty college. JoAnna married Robert (Bob) W. Henning Sr. on August 11, 1962. They settled in San Diego, CA and had three children: Robert, Bill, and LeeAnne. In 1977, JoAnna and Bob moved their family to Kuna, ID, where they opened a meat cutting business. When they closed the business, she went to work at a Nampa optometrist office.

JoAnna and Bob enjoyed attending local Rendezvous events, where they practiced primitive lifestyles and made many lifelong friends. JoAnna was a devoted supporter of her grandchildren's sporting and scholastic activities, enjoying the time spent with family at soccer games, motocross races, and other events.

In more recent years, JoAnna loved traveling with family, especially if the destination was near the beach! She enjoyed watching NASCAR races and often went to local Jeep crawling events, which inspired her to buy a Jeep. She embraced the ‘jeep life’ and took every opportunity to join in ‘ducking’ other jeeps. JoAnna supported many local small businesses and was a regular customer at Hot Shots Coffee in the mornings. In the afternoons you could count on seeing her at Sonic for a soda and snack.

JoAnna was preceded in death by her husband Bob and her parents Marvin and Leona. She is survived by her sons: Robert (Debra) Henning Jr. and Bill (Anne-Marie) Henning; daughter LeeAnne (David) Kubista; grandchildren: Joe (Kaila Kay) Kubista, Josh (Megan) Kubista, Alex (Cade) Carlson, Paige Kubista, Jodey (Kenny) Harmon, August Henning, Nia (Bill) Gore, Mathew Love, Wade (Kat) Hale, Caitlin (Skylar) Montoya; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Celebration of Life

We are inviting those who knew and loved JoAnna K. Henning to come together in a heartfelt celebration of her life. JoAnna was a beloved friend, devoted wife, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother (GiGi).

Come share an afternoon of favorite stories, cherished memories, laughter, and a few tears as we honor her legacy. Light refreshments will be provided.
