Ms. Phyllis J. Lennon, 95, of Colfax passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
She grew up in Missoula, Montana, she was the daughter of the late Loran and Blanche (Plumley) Limpus and wife of 69 years to the late John Lennon.
She graduated from nursing school in Spokane, WA. She and a close friend travelled on a boat to Hawaii to pursue nursing there. Phyllis met her husband, John, in Honolulu, Hawaii while he was serving in the Navy in 1955. She continued practicing nursing while supporting John through school until she had the opportunity to stay home with her family, which was a longtime dream of hers. From that point on, John & Phyllis moved from coast to coast over the years and traveled all over the world having one adventure after the other while raising four children.
Phyllis is survived by her two daughters, Debbie Lennon, and Tracy Huff and husband, Kevin; two sons, Ron Lennon and Andy Lennon; and her five grandchildren, Maddy Lennon, Alyssa Huff, Brian Huff, Josh Lennon, and Mackenzie Lennon.
The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service, 213 W. Mountain St. Kernersville NC 27284 on Friday, July 11th, 2025 from 6:00PM - 8:00PM.
Funeral services will be at Main St. United Methodist Church, 306 S Main St, Kernersville, NC 27284 on Saturday, July 12th, 2025 at 11:00AM with Rev. Lanny Lancaster officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to Gary Sinise Foundation, Brightspire Foundation (directed to River Landing at Sandy Ridge), or to the charity of your choice.
