**Obituary for Philip Badrian** **May 10, 1947 - July 8, 2025** It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Philip Badrian, who departed this life peacefully on July 8, 2025, in Port Charlotte, Florida, at the age of 78. Born in Schwandorf, Germany, Phil brought warmth and kindness to all who knew him, embodying a spirit of generosity that was evident throughout his life. Phil was preceded in death by his beloved family. He leaves behind his cherished wife, Sharon Badrian, and two devoted sons: Jason Badrian, along with his wife, Amy, and Todd Badrian, who shares his life with partner Alicia Diecidue and their children Jessica and Chris. His legacy will also be carried on by his granddaughters, Madison Badrian and Kaitlyn Koelz, and great-grandson, Micha. He is survived by his sister Leah Nachman, her husband, Steven, and their children, Paul Nachman and Rachel Krimsky, and her husband, Rabbi Dan Krimsky, along with their children Avi, Ezra, and Nisa. Phil was educated at Tilden High School in Brooklyn, New York, where he graduated in 1965 before obtaining an Associate of Arts degree in business. In 1966, he proudly joined the United States Air Force, serving until 1969 as a Firefighter/Crash Rescue Specialist stationed at Oxnard Air Force Base in California, achieving the rank of Sergeant E-4.

After his distinguished military service, Phil embarked on a commendable career with the United States Postal Service beginning in 1971. Over the course of 35 years, he ascended through the ranks from mail carrier to supervisor, station manager, and ultimately, postmaster, overseeing seven post offices. His tireless dedication and expertise earned him numerous promotions and accolades, and he was frequently called upon to assist struggling post offices, demonstrating his commitment to excellence and leadership. Phil was truly a vibrant spirit — kind-hearted, energetic, and always ready with a joke that could light up a room. Known for his hospitable nature, he made those around him feel welcome and cared for. His passions included fitness, where he excelled at helping others and participating in competitions that garnered him several trophies. He relished boating adventures with family and friends, which created lasting memories. A ceremony honoring Phil's life will take place at Sarasota National Cemetery, located at 9810 SR-72, Sarasota, Florida, 34241, on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. In this time of mourning, we remember Phil for the joy he brought into our lives, the values he instilled in those he loved, and his unwavering spirit. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
