Loretta “Lori” Reben EvansAugust 27, 1937 – July 6, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother,great-grandmother, and friend, Loretta “Lori” Reben Evans, affectionately known asMema, on July 6, 2025.

Born on August 27, 1937, in Mount Levi, Arkansas, Lori lived an extraordinary life filledwith love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family. Over the years, she worked as aretail sales clerk and a successful realtor, but her most cherished and fulfilling role was thatof a devoted, full-time Mom. To many she was a confidant, a best friend, a safe place, andthe heartbeat of her family.

Lori was a bright light with a joyful spirit. Thoughtful and incredibly kind, she nevermissed a birthday or anniversary, faithfully transferring each date to her new calendarevery year. She delighted in family gatherings and treasured every moment with herchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Young at heart, she dressed up forHalloween, hid Easter eggs year-round, and never passed up a chance to play hide andseek. When the great-grandchildren visited, she always had their favorite snacks ready, along with a few surprises hidden around the house. She loved adding joy and magic toany occasion. Mema didn’t just watch from the sidelines; she was engaged and madefamily time fun.

Her deep and abiding faith was evident in how she loved and cared for her family. Sheoften tuned into three sermons each Sunday.

Lori loved flowers, butterflies, and anything lavender. She brought warmth and peacewherever she went, making others feel important and loved, often becoming “Mom” tomore than just her own children. Those that had the pleasure of knowing her felt welcomedby her open heart and generous spirit.

Mema lived and loved with intention. We are endlessly grateful for the memories shecreated with us and the love she gave so freely. Her presence was a blessing—we will carryher light with us always.

Survived by her children, Kevin Evans and Pamela Evans Bryant (Jody Bryant);grandchildren, Sarah Bryant Hancock (Beau Hancock) and Jesse Bryant (JordanScheffelmaier Bryant); great grandchildren, Jet (10) and Colt Hancock (3); step-grandchild, Coti Bryant Louthan (Justin Louthan) and their children Emerson and OrionLouthan (8).

Preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Evans and her 4 siblings.Though we grieve her deeply, we take comfort in knowing that she is now whole, and she is peacefully with Jesus—reunited with loved ones, wrapped in light, and surrounded by the love she so freely gave here on Earth.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor:Saturday, September 20, 202511:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.Two Rivers Church326 E Guadalupe RoadGilbert, Arizona 85234
