Rudy Antonio Suarez
November 20th, 1951 - June 28th, 2025
Rudy Antonio Suarez passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the age of 73.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Dominic A. Suarez; his parents, Lupe and Lucio Suarez; and his siblings.
Rudy is survived by his sons, Anthony Suarez and Joey Suarez; his daughters, Melissa Sanchez and Amy Suarez; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved deeply.
Born on November 20, 1951, in the Barelas Neighborhood of Albuquerque, Rudy grew up surrounded by family. He attended Albuquerque High School, where he was an active athlete, playing many sports. His love for sports continued well into adulthood, especially his passion for baseball.
Rudy had a great appreciation for good New Mexican food—favorites included Bob’s Burgers, Mac’s La Sierra, and El Modelo. He also enjoyed visits to the casino, where he often seemed to have a bit of luck on his side.
Rudy was incredibly proud of his children. He recently celebrated his youngest son Joey’s graduation from high school in May, and he took great pride in his eldest son Anthony’s service as an Albuquerque Police Officer.
Rudy will be laid to rest at Mount Calvary Cemetery (1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM) on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
