Marion Wilson Willmeth

In Loving Memory
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marion Willmeth on July 10th at the age of 79.
Born on February 6, 1946 in Springfield, Ohio, Marion was the beloved son of Robert Willmeth of Oil City, PA and Mamie Kimmey of Swansea, SC. He was a devoted husband to Gerda Willmeth and a loving father to Stefan (deceased), Lesley, and Diana (deceased). Marion was also the proud grandfather of three granddaughters, Rachel, Rebecca, and Stefanie.
Marion Willmeth was a 20 year veteran of the US Army and a member of American Legion Post 0130. He was known for his ability to repair not only cars and machinery, but just about anything else. He loved hunting and fishing, being most proud of harvesting a 10-point buck.
Marion loved his family and friends and spent his life protecting and helping others. While not always appreciated in the moment, his help invariably came with advice and a strong opinion.
Marion Willmeth is survived by his wife, Gerda; daughter, Lesley; granddaughters, Rachel, Rebecca, and Stefanie; brother, Vernon Harr; as well as extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Willmeth and Mamie Kimmey; children, Stefan Willmeth and Diana Willmeth; siblings, Beatrice Caldwell, Bobbie Willmeth, James Harr, and Dennis Willmeth.
A memorial service and celebration of life plans will be shared at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your favorite charity or service organization in Marion Willmeth's memory.
We will miss him dearly and cherish the memories we have of him.
