DOROTHY J. GAST age 92 passed away on July 7, 2025 in Centennial, Colorado.  She was born on October 7, 1932 in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of Steve Poweska and Elizabeth Sistanich Poweska.  Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Clyde W. Gast; parents Elizabeth and Stephen Poweska; foster parents Merlyn and Frances Wilson; sister Violet Poweska Folsom; brothers Stephen Poweska and Edward Poweska; and grandson, Joel Gast.  She is survived by son “Butch” Clyde II Gast and his wife AnnaMaria Gast; daughter Cheryl Miller Vacenovsky and her husband Karl Vacenovsky; grandchildren Molly Payne, Brandon Miller (Maureen), and Cory Miller (Kayla Gould); great-grandchildren Bronson, Simon, Estelle, Alma and James; and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy grew up in Valparaiso IN, and married her husband of 70 years, who was in the United States Air Force, in Albuquerque NM.  They also lived in Pittsburgh PA, and settled in Littleton CO.  Dorothy and Clyde were members of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Littleton, Colorado.  After a private memorial service, Dorothy and her husband Clyde will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
