Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Rose Eleanor LoBue, passed away on July 9, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 91 years old.

Born in 1933 to Paul & Clara Simeone, Rose was the heart and soul of our home and family. She raised four children, Michael LoBue (Shannon), Andrea Kinsley (Tom), Yvonne Green (Charlie) and Keith Lo Bue (Skye) in a happy and loving home to be independent and thoughtful adults. Rose was married for 65 years to her soulmate, Michael J. Lo Bue, who preceded her in death. Rose reveled in her twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, always showing the utmost interest in their well-being and happiness.

Rose was a crackerjack legal secretary who typed on an electric typewriter faster than the speed of light. Later she held an administrative position in Human Resources at a major corporation. She was very proud of having retained and used her shorthand skills and delighted in showing her fluency in this lost art. Rose volunteered all of her adult life. She was heavily involved in the integration of a refugee Vietnamese family into her community in the 1970s, taught English as a second language, and was an interpreter for Volunteers in Medicine.

Rose (or Tootie as she was known in her youth) had an extraordinary gift for nurturing deep, lasting relationships and always lent an ear and provided sage advice to those around her. Her radiant smile lit up any room she entered.

Beachgoing, dancing, exercising, word puzzles and traveling were some of Rose's favorite pastimes as well as hitting the thrift stores with her best friend, Carol.

She was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Our mother will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

Services will be private.
