Samuel (Sam) Tilden Logan passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and love on Monday, June 30th, 2025. Sam was 84 years young when he suffered a stroke and spent 6 months fighting hard to recover.
Sam was born in Sterling, Colorado, on September 6th, 1940, to parents Wilma Audrey and Samuel Logan. He was raised in Kimball, Nebraska. Sam was blessed with a beautiful voice and the ability to play the guitar.
Sam spent many years, along with his wife Joanna, as Santa and Mrs. Claus for the families served through the Flowing Wells Community Effort Council.
Sam lived many places in his younger years and settled in Tucson, Arizona, in 1969 where he and his wife, Joanna, raised their family until her passing in 2000. In 2002, Sam married Kathie and enjoyed many years traveling the world with her.
Sam was the original owner of Tucson Awning and Screen and the proud author of Christopher Moose - Hello Reindeer. Sam was passionate about food and loved to cook.
Sam is preceded in death by his parents: Samuel and Wilma Audrey, his siblings: Betty, David, Patti, and Judy, his wife: Joanna, his son: Tony, and grandson: Ricky.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 9th, 2025, at 11:00am at the Tanque Verde Lutheran Church (8625 East Tanque Verde Road, Tucson, Arizona, 85749).
The family would like to thank TMC Hospice Care and the many caregivers that gave Sam excellent care.
