Jose Francisco Vargas (Frank), 73, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025, at UNM Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Frank was welcomed into the world on June 12, 1951, son of Armando Vargas and Estella LeBlanc Vargas.
Frank was a Vietnam Veteran, He enjoyed fishing, being in the mountains and spending quality time with his family and friends!
Frank was a very good man! He was a wonderful father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather! He will be dearly missed.
He will live on through his daughter Anita Vargas Sandoval and husband Clyde Sandoval, and son Frankie Vargas Jr. the 2nd Grandchildren; Shantel Lucero; Stephanie (Derick) Trujillo; Patricia Martinez; La Costa Vargas; Patrick Autunm Vaughn; Dominick Lopez. Great Grandchildren Aaliya Lucero Esparza; Emma and Aria Lucero; Malakai and Hunter Trujillo; Eleanor and Amari Vaughn; Analeigh and Dave Gallegos. Brothers Herman Vargas; and Armando Vargas; Sisters Bertina Vargas; Ramona Vargas; Leonora Vargas Almeida, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; Sons Frankie Jr. the 1st, Myron, Patrick the1st; Patrick Myron; daughter Chyrel Renee Vargas; Grandson Delfin Vargas Granddaughter Ashley Vargas; Great granddaughter Aubree Chavez and Aaron Mascareñas; and Brother Ricky Vargas.
Services will be July 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at
